Breast Cancer Day 31 - I asked for anxiety meds
Welp, I finally asked for some help with anxiety and it triggered this ridiculous response from my doctor. I wanted some medication and, instead, they made a referral to pyschiatry for counseling. Of course, I had no idea that this had happened and got a cold call from the psych department to follow up on my request for therapy. :::sigh:::: I eventually explained to three people that my anxiety was over having surgery in two weeks and asked "What can you do for me in the next two weeks?" They said "Oh, we get it." ROFL. I just wanted a couple of xanax or ativan for those moments when I felt extremely anxious. What a comedy.
