Having surgery is like getting on a plane. Yes, they almost always land safely but there's always a risk, right? And so as I ponder surgery tomorrow, I want to say Thank You to those who have sent me kind words, messages, cards and more to help me through this journey. Where does the support group leader go for support? Right back to our members. You've helped me get through the two most difficult moments of my life... losing my parents last year and my breast cancer diagnosis 42 days ago. Wish me luck! Send strength for the next few weeks as recovery could be rough. And, most of all, clear lymph nodes because if I do have chemo, you are going to see some whacky and colorful wigs! Pink anyone??
