Don't ask me how, but I did manage to film a little check in the day after surgery. The shock and trauma is stunning and shows on my face. I fainted twice that morning after draining the drains. Thankfully, my brother in law was there and caught me both times. It's not pretty and I'm not pretty in this video but I wanted to share, honestly, what this is like. Noone should expect anyone to be functional in the days after surgery. We have one job... and that is to heal. And if you do too much too soon, you run the risk of pulling stitches and causing yet more damage and pain.
