In the past six years, I've let go of a lot of past hurts, some I was well aware of and some I wasn't aware of until they appeared in my mind during meditation.
While tension is often the underlying cause of muscle and joint pain, tension can be held in your body for any number of reasons, including physical and emotional trauma.
The experience of allowing repressed memories appear in my consciousness, letting them process, and ultimately letting go has undoubtedly been the most fascinating aspect of my recovery from chronic pain, but it has also lessened symptoms of autonomic nervous system issues like tinnitus and food sensitivity.
