What is your biggest “only in the USA” moment?

I went to Walmart to purchase a DSLR camera bag. After selecting one bag, I browsed online to check if I can get a better option at some other shops. At Kmart the same bag was on 40% discount. Went to checkout and showed them the Kmart price on my mobile. The lady at the counter called her manager and they did PRICE MATCH.
I got the bag at 40% discount :).

1. Many professors start the class with, “Thank you for joining me today”.
2. My Physics professor knelt down next to our desk in the lab, to explain something.
3. If you're going to a professor’s office to turn in your homework, they THANK you.
4. Some people from your own country will go way out of their line to help you.
5. Most of the cops ask, “How are you doing?” if you have eye contact with them.

In restaurants:

The boss using terms “thank you” and “please” towards his subordinates.
Being offered a free coke in Subway just because they delayed my order by a couple of minutes.
Tipping system (I kinda don’t understand the concept of tipping even when all they did was their JOB. I will tip if the person did something by going out of his way to improve the service). - IRS assumes you get tips let's say 8% do they expect you to pay taxes on it. Now imagine you don't get actual tips, but IRS still expects taxes on them.
Adding “ice” in “cold drinks” unless instructed otherwise.

In general:

Using the national flag for ramp walks.
Power sockets without switches.
Getting hospital bills that are in 6 figures.
Common people speaking about guns as if it’s about some toy.
