Which are the best Hollywood adventure movies?
Here are some of my personal favorites (some also falls in the sci-fi genre)-
The Indiana Jones movies.
The Jurassic Park movies.
The Star Wars movies.(don’t watch the prequels).
The rebooted Star Trek franchise directed by JJ Abrams.
Guardians of the Galaxy.
Pacific Rim.
The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies.
The Mission Impossible series.(especially Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation).
Jaws(the first one).Spare yourself of the sequels.
Goosebumps movie.(It’s really fun although a bit silly).
The Marvel movies.(like Iron Man and The Avengers-I know I mentioned Guardians of the Galaxy because it is awesome and deserves a special mention).
Watch Django Unchained ( if you like western dramas which fall in the adventure genre).
The Jungle Book(the new one which released in 2016.)Believe me it’s awesome.
The Nolan Batman Trilogy.
Inception and Interstellar.

For straight-out adventure, the first thing that pops into my head are the Indiana Jones movies (through the Last Crusade). No list would be complete without Star Wars and probably the Lord of the Rings trilogy either. There's actually quite a few action/adventure franchises - Star Trek, Harry Potter, James Bond, Back to the Future, Lara Croft, Jason Bourne, Die Hard; Pirates of the Carribean; several of the Marvel character movies; Wonder Woman; and Mad Max (I liked the 2015 version). Most of them are pretty good movies - some better than others though. Keeping the list non-animated because that's a whole other thing, non-franchise movies I could think of would include: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Dr. Strange (not a franchise yet); Gladiator; Jaws; ET; Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid; Kill Bill Parts I and II; and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. I also grew up in the 70's watching disaster movies. The best were The Towering Inferno (had both Paul Newman and Steve McQueen so I loved it) and the Poseidon Adventure. The special effects aren't anywhere near like today's, but I don't care.
