What are some adventures worth trying before dying?
Living your life on your own term !!
Yes, this has to be on the list.
Let me tell you why.
Lot of people out there fear to follow their passion. Due to society, responsibilities, they have compromised with their dream, their passion. Being stuck in wrong profession, they couldn't live their life the way they want.
So, I must suggest you to give your passion a chance, give your dream a chance. Please do not fear to follow them. You might succeed or not in long run, but you will never have regrets of not trying.
Atleast take chances. If you don't, then what is there to live for. You will not get any assurance for following your passion. Still you should take the chance.
Yes, it is scary like hell.
That is why it's an adventure you must take.
When you know how big a hole you can afford in your purse, you choose your adventures accordingly. You want adventure, I'll tell you how to let the adrenaline shoot up in your veins.
Put a polythene bag over your head and stop inhaling life bit by bit. See how long you can beat death.
Take to the swimming pool, swim to the deepest part and let go. Let yourself reach the base of that 16-feet pool you have mastered in butterfly stroke.
Take your biggest fear by the collar and beat it down. Mine is flying.
Live life, don't let it slip like sand. This is the biggest of adventures.
Seeing the world isn't just for retirement--it's never to early to start. From the awe-inspiring, to the unusual, and grit-testing, these five adventures are worth adding to and crossing off your bucket list.
Aktun Tunichil Muknal caves of Belize
This adventure is for the Indiana Jones-wannabes: swimming, wading, squeezing, crawling and hiking a half mile deep into the ATM caves. Ancient bones and other artifacts have been left in their natural state instead of shipped to museums and labs, setting a scene that emulates that of the intrepid archeologist searching for the Headpiece of the Staff of Ra in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The Skeleton Coast of Namibia
This remote region of southern Africa was inaccessible to travelers until very recently, and if you're a wildlife-seeking traveler, consider this option instead of the more popular safaris in Tanzania or Kenya. Boasting the worlds tallest sand dunes, you can meet indigenous tribes while tracking elephants and endangered Black Rhinos through the desert by foot, among other once-in-a-lifetime adventures.
Sacred Valley Trail
While most take the classic Inca Trail to reach the mountaintop ruins of Machu Picchu, this centuries-old route-less-traveled will take you between small mountain villages like Cachiccata, where service projects have helped locals establish campgrounds, creating jobs for young people. The hike will take about 10 days, crossing passes at an altitude over 14,000 feet.
Lofotr Viking Museum in Borg, Norway
Awaken your inner warrior at this recreated Viking village where you can learn to throw axes and shoot arrows before taking your seat on a rowing bench on the Gokstad Viking ship replica. While it's only a 30-minute expedition, you'll soon learn to keep pace with your oar and the rowers around you, just as the Vikings did centuries ago.
Haute Route in the Alps
While this weeklong ski expedition is surely a test of persistence, strength, and grit, don't be too intimidated, the 110 mile trail from Chamnoix to Zermatt has been well-traveled and well-marked for those brave enough to cross the Alps two miles above sea level. Most famous for it's spectacular mountain views, you'll be able to ski into a few mountain villages to fill up on some hearty, delicious cuisine before retiring to the small camping huts above the tree line set up along the way.
