It's worth keeping in mind that the "best" jobs page varies depending on the company – their personality (office culture, the sort of work they do, etc.) will inform the "ideal" design of their jobs page.
I'm answering off a tangent here, but I hope it helps. The best 'Why work for us' page I ever read was not on the company's site, but a post on its blog.
It's a long read, and it's already a couple of months old, but after reading it I was perfectly able to feel why would someone want to go work there, and how would it be if it happened.

Sadly, HubSpot's careers page doesn't really do a good job following up on this post.

I love Airbnb (product)'s jobs page: http://www.airbnb.com/jobs
They have a beautifully designed jobs page, they balance between fun and serious (as opposed to smartass job descriptions that get a lot of attention but don't really tell you anything), and they're very clear about what they offer to a future employee.
