Stop wasting your time online.
Just what the title says: This video is about internet comment culture and how many of us today are wasting a lot of their lifetime online, dealing with opinions of strangers, when they could just learn how to move on.
I find this very important, and also want to touch on a few other topics: woke culture, online "activism" and meaningful human interaction. Imagine how much change we could actually bring to life if we would stop scrolling and allowing ourselves to be tricked into thinking that we can "do something" by clicking on stuff.
Yes, there are aspects of it, yes you can influence and inspire people online. But it's not as meaningful as the corresponding real-life experience would be, it will not last as long as a memory, people will not remember as much from online opinions as they will from participating in an actual protest for example.
Our brains are just not made for this, and it potentially creates further detachment from reality and from what matters and from the impression we get of how much of an impact we have on things.
It can feel deceivingly impactful to have some sort of voice online, but people forget this kind stuff so fast... Thus, unless you directly participate in change that will actually be put into writing as some sort of policy, it's not activism, it's just inspiration. Aka it is on the same level as your aunt's WhatsApp status quote with a photo of a flower in the background.
