How to do an aesthetic and cinematic color grading in Blender Video Sequence Editor (VSE) for total beginners!
This video has been on my mind for quite some time. Because it is the video I would've wanted as a beginner. I was looking for a 100% open source video editing / cutting tool for Linux, and I settled with Blender. But Blender is not an intuitive software. However, if you know what you're doing, you can achieve almost anything in this super versatile and highly customizable editor.

Blender is not a classic video editor. But that really doesn't matter, because it has one built in. Also, the 3D editing options can actually come in very handy later, as you can use all of that to make cool transitions and fancy animations.
In this tutorial I shouw you how to create a cinematic and aesthetic color grading. What I mean by that is a flattened S-curve with not too deep low-lights. I also like to remove the saturation from the blue tones, as it looks more fancy, especially in clothes and technology items. A blue tint looks cheap and like some weird overdone Instagram filter. Same for too much yellow or green. You want to get rid of that. Here is how! :-)
