Building a landing page used to be a big ordeal, and it required two things startups don't often have: deep pockets and expertise. Launchrock is an app that changes all that. It's a landing page builder that's intuitive to use and requires no coding. If you can drag and drop, you can build a stunning, professional looking page. Plus, it's quick to setup and doesn't cost a penny.

So, here's a five step introduction on how to use the page builder - and help your idea launch sooner.

Step 1: Starting Off

To begin building a landing page, click on the builder icon on the left hand side of the screen. This will open up a drag-and-drop interface used for creating the various page elements.

Step 2: Adding Elements from the Builder Layout
Within the builder, there are 2 main tab sections: edit and theme. The edit section allows for template changes and the addition of blocks. Click on add block beside the Blocks title (for more on blocks, watch our 30 second video on Blocks vs. Columns).
The blocks section offers three options for inserting elements:
Under blank, we can insert HTML, which is a paid option. Or, insert a what-you-see-is-what-you-get element, such as text, a link, a list or an image.

Under Columns, we can insert columns, which automatically contain text that we can alter with other text or images.
Under Widgets, we can insert one of two types of sign-up forms: floating,or general. To learn about the difference between both, watch our video on creating forms.

For this example, add two WYSIWYG elements. For the first, delete the text and add a pre-made logo. For the second, change the text to “Resumes that Don’t Suck”.

Step 3: Adjusting Elements
To adjust an element, click on the element to access its properties. A range of properties will be available, such as text size, color, alignment. For some elements, such as an inserted picture, hovering over it will make an edit tab appear. This tab provides more options for editing, such as margins, positioning, and even links.

Step 4: Adjusting Blocks
Navigate to the main tab section. Notice that blocks are draggable, and that moving a block will affect the layout.
Also note the gear icon beside each block. This icon brings up various styling elements for for the block . These options include colors, padding, and background image. Lastly, take a look at block style.

This area is for adjusting the padding of the entire block. In contrast, column style allows for changes to a particular column only. In this case, that is column 1.

That was easy, wasn’t it? Your now 5 steps closer to finishing and launching a spectacular landing page.
