Hospital Management Asia Awards 2023 (Gold) – MILES team
In 2018, the National University Hospital started the Management and Innovation for Longevity in Elderly Surgical Programme (MILES) to identify elderly patients who need intervention before they undergo major surgeries.
These patients are managed by a multi-disciplinary team that works closely to enhance their peri-operative care. Through this programme, there has been a significant reduction in post-operative complications, shorter length of stay and reduced readmission rate for our patients.
