Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common type of repetitive strain injury that can be resulted from sustained or repetitive gripping with the fingers and frequent bending of the wrist in everyday activities.
While the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome can affect your ability to perform daily tasks effectively, this condition can be self-managed during its early onset through activity modification, usage of an orthosis/brace and appropriate exercises.
Through this video, you will learn some simple nerve gliding and tendon gliding exercises that will help to optimise healing of the compressed nerve which help to ease your symptoms in the long run. You will also learn how to put on and take care of your orthosis/brace.
Consult your occupational therapist if you have any questions about the information provided.
