He Used a Kid to Scam Me on Xbox… Scammers on Xbox plague the Looking for Groups and can be found almost anywhere. The common scammers claim to sell modded Xbox GTA Accounts for a price. And here is what happened. Getting scammed so you don’t have to. My goal was to either get scammed to have undeniable evidence of the Xbox scammer. OR if he was a legitimate seller, I would give the modded GTA account away to a subscriber like last time. We know what happened. But what really ticked me off was that he used a kid to advertise his scam on Xbox.
I was in the Looking for Groups on Xbox and came across a post that read “Modded Account Legit 5,” or something like that. From there, the plan was really simple. The post wasn’t made by the scammer. It was made by a random kid that also ended up getting scammed by the scammer. I wasn’t worthy of speaking directly to the scamming wizard of Xbox, so I had to go through a middle man. The victim invited me to an Xbox party chat, where we talked for a bit, before the scammer joined the party. An obvious red flag was the scammer said he’ll take what I have but the post obviously advertised the modded GTA Xbox account for $5.
The scammer sent me an email address, along with a few pictures of the modded account. He didn’t show the gamertag or any details. He only showed the modded outfits and modded cars. These pictures were most likely from his personal Xbox account on GTA. I attempted to send him the $5 on CashApp and a HUGE red flag popped up. CashApp warned me that the account was a scam due to past scamming instances, which proves he scammed before and this wasn’t his first time.
At this point, he sent me another CashApp account to send the money to. After I sent it to him, he sent me the wrong password, left the party chat, and blocked me. He sealed his identity as a dirty scammer on Xbox.
The victim stayed in the party chat and told me he was advertising the scammer because he was promised a modded GTA Xbox account if he advertised for him and got him a “customer,” which was just a victim for his scam. So this 13 year old victim was also scammed by him and was used as his mule to advertise the scam on Xbox Looking for Groups. That is very scummy. In the process, both of us were scammed in the end.
The last Xbox scammer we exposed got permabanned on Xbox. So let’s count our lucky stars and hope he gets permabanned as well. It was pretty evident that this wasn’t his first time since his CashApp was marked as a scam by CashApp themselves.
