Heaven and Hell! Gan Eden and Gehinnom. Ramchal's Fundamental Concepts in Judaism Lesson 5
The Maamar HaIkarim written by the Ramchal -- Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto, is a classic work of 10 chapters discussing the most essential and fundamental concepts of all of the Torah and Judaism.
In today's lesson, we will be discussing the fifth section dealing with the concepts of Gan Eden and Gehinnom -- commonly translated as Heaven and Hell!
Unfortunately the English words don't convey the entire story. The Ramchal gives us the insight we need to get a better understanding of what these soul-worlds are. These worlds come about after the soul leaves the body at the end of our lives. But what is it that we do that will influence our travelling to one of these worlds or the other?
