Transmission of the Torah - Ethics of the Fathers 1:1: Patience in Judgment, Raising Disciples
The first Mishnah of Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers) teaches us the beginning of the transmission of the Torah. We learn how Moses received the Torah and passed it to Joshua and from him the Mishnah lists the progression of transmission.
We learn about three wonderful teachings that the Men of the Great Assembly taught:
1. Be patient in judgment
2. Raise up many disciples
3. Make a fence for the Torah
In this video, we will see the teachings of the Mishnah come alive with images to imprint in one's mind.
