Tu BiShvat marks the beginning of the new year for trees. What can we learn from trees?
The Talmud in Masechet Taanit 23a teaches us a story about Choni HaMeagel, Choni the Circle-Maker which shares some light on the deeper meaning of trees, of appreciating human beings and the value of time.
Indeed, a man is compared to a tree and it is for us to learn the beautiful lesson contained in this story. Watch it for Tu BiShvat or watch it at any time of the year. Its message is timeless!
