Trump won all 7 swing states. He will serve two non-consecutive terms - the first to do so since 1892. He won with a margin of 86 electoral votes - 312 to Harris' 226. He won more than 50% of the popular vote, with a lead of 3.7 Million. Republicans won the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives.
There will inevitably be protest voiced by those who disagree with this outcome. But the solid nature of this victory cannot be misinterpreted. That Trump's campaign spent less than $400 million while emerging victorious with money left over, while the Harris campaign spent more than $1 Billion while ending its campaign burdened with $20 Million in Debt speaks for itself: You can't buy popularity.
Winning all the swing states proves that Trump has gained ground with moderates. His disproportionately large electoral vote win proves that Trump is respected by most of America's geographic territory. His win of a majority of the popular vote proves that Trump Supporters are the democratic majority. His win of more than 50% of the popular vote evidences the fact that Independents - not just legacy Republicans - also support him. Gaining control of both the White House and Both Upper and Lower Houses of Congress proves that grassroots support for conservatives extends to the local level Nationwide.
Why does this matter?
It matters because for the last four years, liberals have tried to suppress conservatives by leveraging optics, mainstream media, and their power of pull in large corporations to suggest that Trump supporters - and all conservatives by implication - are a dangerous, extreme minority which is vocal but does not represent mainstream America.
This election, we did not just win the White House. We also proved that Trump Supporters are the mainstream, popular majority. We proved definitively that Americans are capable and willing to change their minds. After all, just four years ago America voted to give Democrats a chance. But we also proved that we don't give politicians a free pass. And we proved that activist liberalism is a cultural minority in the United States.
Self-proclaimed progressives try to project themselves as the primary voice of America. This November, America proved that liberals lost the popularity contest. They no longer have the ability to use peer pressure as a way to leverage everyone else into compliance. And that is what makes this such a big win.
Certainly, there will be protests. But the superiority complex is over. Whether they choose to admit it or not, liberals now understand that they are the true minority. If they protest, they are protesting democracy itself. They may dislike what a majority of America stands for, but they no longer may claim that they represent the majority. Those in a minority position think twice before they bully a bigger group: We refer to this concept as Peace Through Strength.
Now, if liberals want a position at the table again in the future, it's their turn to rethink their positions, humble themselves, and return to center. Protesting won't get them anywhere. If they want to win others over, they will have to work for it. They will have to campaign with compelling ideas and values that appeal to all Americans on both sides of the aisle. And they will have to let identity politics take the back seat.
I look forward to a future in which the Democratic Party abandons the Activist Left and returns to what it was meant to be: A bastion for Pragmatic Liberalism. But until then, a red sun has risen in the east - and I couldn't be happier to watch the sunrise.
