There is immense power in silent people who speak with action and not words. Not everyone with an opinion takes to the streets.
Covid Tyranny and Censorship proved that the Democrats did not stand for free speech or body autonomy, and that hurt their campaign in 2024.
Rule of law was a slip which caused people to leave large cities - and as conservatives and moderates left cities, they moved to swing states. That demographic shift helped Republicans win Swing States.
Legal migrants don't like illegal immigration, because they followed process and believe others should, too - and they don't want America to inherit the problems of foreign countries.
Lobbying specifically to minorities by excluding majorities made the Democrats lose major swaths of the voting public - like straight men and people with more traditional values.
The left rejected moderates. As the left drifted further toward extremism, it abandoned moderate democrats like RFK Junior and Tulsi Gabbard, and independents like Elon Musk - which left them with no choice other than aligning with the right. It moved so far away from center, that it left all the normal people behind.
Prediction markets saw what others couldn't simply gamblers focus more on making the right bet, and less on confirmation bias.
Leftists who painted the other side as Nazis or Fascists did injustice to impressionable voters by creating an atmosphere of fear. No one should go to bed in fear, thinking that the outcome of an election cost them their freedom.
The U.S. political process worked. It worked this time. And it worked in 2020. Sometimes we agree with the outcome. Sometimes we don't. But it's still one of the best systems in the world.
As excited as I am by a Republican win, that doesnt mean that the left doesnt have some good points too, and it doesn't mean that the Right isn't capable of activist extremism. If I could have my way, I would rather see a victory for moderate, pragmatic liberalism over the party lines of the far left, or far right.
I do think the Trump Rally feels fake. We should be cautious of the hype. No matter how consequential the presidential election, the base nature of reality was not reinvented overnight.
Talk of the transfer of power has been very quiet. It feels too quiet. And often when people let their guard down and start thinking the good times are here to stay, that is when a black swan event happens. We should remain vigilant.
It seems like there are a lot of people who treat gambling like investment and don't know the difference. Eventually, bubbles of ignorance pop.
I hope - and truly believe - that a Republican victory will be the right thing for everyone - including the liberals who think it is a tragedy.
We have seen something unlike anything we have seen in a long time. A win for the House, Senate, White House, and the Popular Vote. The last time this happened, it was for Barack Obama in 2008. That's amazing.
While we may hope for political victories, making our lives better is more about personal choices than about who is administering the government. We need to remember that.
The pendulum eventually swings back. No momentum endures forever. And people who look to a politician to be their savior will be disappointed, because in the end we are all human, not miracle workers.
The ethos of the Right - Tradition, rugged individualism, and self-reliance - reasons why rural America is always more conservative than its more collectivist urban centers - are principles which will continue to appeal enduringly.
Despite all of the (often amazing) promises of new technologies, innovations, and unprecedented heights we may reach together, the desire to be free is part of our base nature. You cannot take away - not even in a millenia - a man's desire to walk his own path, to climb his own mountains, and to contemplate what can be, unburdened by what has been.
