People usually grow sunflowers for one of two reasons: to admire the blooms or to eat the seeds.
Sometimes, there is overlap between those two goals. Sometimes you need to plan ahead.
If you're growing a branching variety for cut flowers, for example, you aren't going to eat the seeds.
If you are growing them for seeds, you're going to want to go with the large, single stem varieties.
