Grilled Flank Steak with Horseradish Cream - Tastes Like the Weekend
What are you celebrating this month? Whether it's a a graduate, Father's Day, the end of another year of packing lunches for school kids, the upcoming Barbie movie, Pride or just better weather, there's always a good reason to host a casual dinner party.
Roughly 100 billion years ago, when my sister got married, I made the food for the rehearsal dinner. Friends and family were coming in from all over the world, and with flight delays and other issues, there's was no way to know exactly what time the food would be served.
Hence, a fully make-ahead, serve-at-room-temp-any-old-time menu. I started with flank steak, served chilled, and surrounded it with lots of different, hearty, make-ahead salads.
That formula has been my go-to for all parties ever since. It's easy, fun, beautiful and beloved. Between the dishes, you can easily accommodate the gluten frees, the vegetarians and vegans, ketos, even picky kids*.
So here you go:
In this video: Flank steak, marinated in pantry staples, grilled, sliced and served with a creamy, zippy sauce. (Gluten free)
