24 Deeds / Sins that Prevent One From Being Able to Repent Properly. Rambam Teshuvah Ch 4 Laws 1-3
How does one repent when one has done something wrong? The Rambam - Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon gives us the keys to mastering and understanding what we need to do to fully repent from those things we have done wrong.
Repentance in the Torah sense is not just the idea of feeling bad about everything. Rather, repentance is the idea of returning to God. We're going to learn how to return to God and how to return to our selves -- our souls. Let us work through these laws together with a view to connecting with ourselves and with God to overcome the many obstacles we've been through in our lives.
In today's lesson we learn Chapter 4, Halachot 1-3. We will learn about some of the 24 things (sins) that prevent one from being able to repent properly.
