The Maamar HaIkarim written by the Ramchal -- Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto is a classic work of 10 chapters discussing the most essential and fundamental concepts of all of the Torah and Judaism.
We'll be learning about the Creator, the spiritual worlds, the concepts of reward and punishment, prophecy, Divine providence, Redemption and some other very fascinating concepts which comprise the core of what the Torah and Judaism are all about.
In today's lesson, we will be learning about the very first and most important concept -- the Creator. Of course, nothing can exist without the Creator and without the Creator there is nothing to speak about in terms of any of the other chapters! Let us get a clear understanding of the concept of Creator in order to be able to progress on our journey. Naturally we cannot hope to understand anything of the Creator even if we lived for millions of years - let alone a chapter of just a few paragraphs. But the main point is to get to grasp something of the concept in order to be able to move forwards.
I've included a brief introduction into the biography of the Ramchal -- Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto in order to give the viewer some insight into the greatness of this Torah giant who lived in the 18th century.
