How to find out the internet plan you’re currently signed up for
In order to find out what internet plan you’re signed up for, your best bet is to look at the monthly bill that you receive from your internet service provider (ISP). As a fair warning, you may have to look closely.
In my case, I had to go to the last page of my monthly internet bill to see the maximum download speed provided to my home as part of my internet plan. The upload speed wasn’t even listed…
In addition, I couldn’t find the upload speed by logging into my online account with my ISP either. As a result, I had to call my ISP to ask them what my maximum upload speed is.
I would recommend that you record this information somewhere once you find out the speeds provided by your internet plan. That way you won’t have to waste any time searching for these maximum speeds if you are making changes to your home network.
With the details about your current internet plan in hand, you should be able to make an assessment about the performance of your home network after running a speed test.
