What you need to change your modem’s password:
-A device with a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.)

-The device needs to be connected to the network of the modem that you want to make changes to

-The IP address of your modem

-The default username and password for your modem

How to change your modem’s password
To change your modem’s password, you first need to collect a few items of information from the device itself.

On your modem, you’ll find an informational sticker that provides the location where you can access your modem’s settings (i.e. its IP address), as well as the default username and password for the device’s settings.

Once you have this information, you need to type the IP address of your modem into an internet browser on a device that’s on the same network as the modem you want to make changes to.

This will bring you to the login page for your modem’s settings. At this point, you need to enter the default username and password that you recorded from the informational sticker on the device.

From there, you’ll be logged into your modem. You then just need to navigate to the setting that allows you to change your modem’s password. On my modem, I needed to go to the “Advanced” settings and access the “Administration” tab.

These steps might be slightly different based upon the make and model of your modem, but in general, these steps will be very similar.
