Thank you to everyone who participated, and I'm kinda speechless right now. This is probably the contest that have received the MOST amazing levels of all my contests... but... for this one, there is unfortunately only one level that can actually get added to the level. It was very very very hard to choose the winner! This video shows the TOP 9 entries, and we judges think ALL of these deserved to be in the level. But like I said, there was only one spot. We had to choose the 1st place from very small things, and some things that I think are a bit unfair. But contests like these will always be unfair, I guess. The reason why we chose this winner over the 8 others showed in the video, is because it has cube and robot gameplay, which was very unique compared to ALL other submissions. Most of them had ship and wave. Also, this level fits very well into Yatagarasu. The gameplay is also quite nice, based on Surv's opinion, who is the one verifying. The 8 others didn't quite fit into Yatagarasu. Some of them had very flashy art, and some of them had text almost telling a story. If this was a contest to make the best level, some of these might've won. That's why I feel quite bad right now, because there were so many amazing levels that didn't get added. Maybe I should've been clearer on the fact that it should fit well into the actual level, but I think this is something the participants thought about. Some of these 9 levels also had a bit worse gameplay than the others. From the the other 700 levels that participated, there were A LOT of amazing ones too. For my next contest, I have an idea to give even more people the chance to shine, so stay tuned for that!
