"Another year of life" (Demon) by AlvaroRH99 | Geometry Dash 2.2
I've uploaded two AlvaroRH99 levels over the last few months, both of which had consistently good visuals for roughly 2 minutes. That kinda length is not too common to see in levels, but this new one, "Another year of life", is even longer than that at 3 minutes. Unlike the previous levels I played by AlvaroRH99, which had more of a consistent theme throughout, this takes more of a "travel" approach. With that, I mean each part changing theme and colors; it's basically a journey through lots of different scenery. As seen in the level, this was released for their 18th birthday, and I think this approach suits that well. It kinda feels like a summary of different experiences in a way. Even though the visuals change a lot, the style remains consistent, making it work well as a whole. Each part may not be AlvaroRH99's most interesting visuals (I'd say "Liminal Landscapes" for that personally), but as an overall experience over 3 minutes, it's a really nice level.
One problem levels this long can have is gameplay, as there's a higher chance one part stands out in a negative way, ruining the overall enjoyability by itself. However, I'd say that's not the case here; it's an enjoyable level throughout, just like AlvaroRH99's other levels I've played. It's about Easy Demon difficulty once again, making it accessible to many players despite the length. This is easy to get into and beat, and I definitely recommend it if you see it in-game. You should give it a practice run first, though, as some parts have different gravity which can be unexpected.
