"Creepy Crawlers" by GOOBER194 | Geometry Dash 2.2
GOOBER194 is another creator I only recently noticed, and I've uploaded both their great effect level "Options" and NCS Gauntlet Contest entry. "Creepy Crawlers" is quite different from those as it's more of an art level. It's got a Halloween theme with particular emphasis on spiders, which can be seen in a lot of the decorations and other visual choices. There is other art mixed in too, though, such as tombstones, ghosts, and more, keeping it interesting throughout. One thing I really like is how every part feels very dynamic with structures, decorations, and/or background elements moving nicely to the music.
As for the gameplay, you may have noticed that this is entirely in spider mode. This is an interesting choice which suits the theme very well. It does make the gameplay feel a bit too similar throughout and perhaps a bit boring depending on who you ask, but I think there is some variety in how the spider is used at least. For example, the part at 0:20 feels quite different than the others with the gameplay going upwards. All in all, I think this deserves an Epic 8 Stars rating. We do have a Spider Gauntlet to fit eventually, so I suspect GOOBER194 may have thought about that when making this. With some upcoming Gauntlet themes not having too many good candidates right now, that may be the move if you wanna help us out.
