This video shows you a free way to erase data permanently from SD cards in Windows 11/10. As you know, deleted or formatted data can be easily recovered from SD cards by free data recovery software like Cute Recovery. So, if you want to permanently wipe data from SD cards and make data unrecoverable, then follow my steps.
First, free download and install a tool called DiskGenius. The free edition can wipe out all partitions and files from an internal or external hard drive, USB flash drive, or memory card in only a few simple clicks. Free download the software: https://www.diskgenius.com/free.php
Now let’s open the software. Once you’ve got DiskGenius open, you’ll see all disks and partitions on your computer. Find and select the SD card you want to erase data from, then click “Tools” and choose “Erase Sectors”.
Then Select the character that will be used to overwrite the drive. Click “Erase” button.
Double-check and make sure you’ve selected the correct drive. Once the drive is erased by this feature, all data will be lost and cannot be recovered by any methods. Click Erase to proceed. Another warning message will appear. Click OK to confirm, and the process will begin.
