Not many people know, but despite the fact that the Neanderthals had more brain than Homo Sapiens and they did complex instruments, at the moment there are no reliable findings confirming their ability to draw recognizable images, unlike our ancestors. The art of Homo Sapiens representatives can be found in the form of bright visualizations of animals and other figures on the rocks and walls of caves. And this, according to scientists, influences the evolution of behavior. Richard Coss, an emeritus professor of psychology, believes that the coordination of hands and eyes associated with hunting, javelin throwing and drawing objects in precise detail can be one of the factors explaining why modern people have become smarter than Neanderthals. Scientists exploring archaeological data, genomics, neurobiology, animal behavior and prehistoric cave art, complement the understanding of anthropogenesis. Although the professor himself calls his studies a new theory of evolution, one can not yet consider any one group of processes to be the only one decisive in biological evolution.
