A person was charging their Nissan Leaf in a parking lot and left the car. A second person finishing their charging saw flames from the Nissan and ran up to disconnect the electrical charger from the Nissan as the Firefighters arrived.
The fire continues to burn and sending dangerous Lithium smoke and flumes into the surrounding area. The HazMat Teams have been called in, and there is some thought to ask residents to close their windows and "Shelter-in-Place". The Police have the surrounding streets blocked off and are telling people not to walk into the area.
