Making your own homemade cheese is so simple and so good! A hard cheese that you can personalize with spices or aromatic herbs! My Polish grandmother used to prepare it by cooking whole milk and cottage cheese but by working on the recipe, I removed the cottage cheese to make the recipe less expensive and even simpler. 1 - If you prepare the cheese without spices/aromatic herbs, don't forget to add salt or use semi-salted butter.
2 - You can also replace the white vinegar with lemon juice or cider vinegar.
3 - This cheese can be kept in the fridge for 5 days.
4 - Milk can be replaced with soy milk only (for the vegan option) ♥

1 liter of whole milk
2 egg yolks
30 grams of butter
3 tablespoons of white vinegar
