Less than 12 hours after trading blows at the debate US Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump shook hands at the 9/11 memorial in New York.
Both candidates exchanged brief pleasantries - setting politics aside after their fiery debate the night before.
President Biden and former President Trump's vice presidential nominee JD Vance, were also in attendance.
