In this video I'll be reviewing Dehancer Pro which is a film emulation plugin for colour grading in Davinci Resolve.
The plugin is based on 30 years of film shooting and developing experience and it contains over 58 photo and movie film stocks, as well as other powerful film emulation effects.
Some of the main features include, realistic film grain, halation, blooming and vignette, along with some really unique effects like film breath and gate weave. These effects combined give you the tools to completely transform your footage to look like film.
This effects plugin integrates nicely into Davinci Resolve and can easily be applied to the last node in your node tree to transform the final look of your footage. Alternatively, you can do your entire colour grade using just this plugin, beginning with your RAW or LOG footage, straight out of camera.
If you're interested in emulating film I highly recommend testing out this plugin, it's both intuitive and enjoyable to work with. It's really the next best thing to shooting with actual film and it also gives you the opportunity to learn more about the various looks and effects contained with film.
