Sigma FP and Contax Zeiss 28-85 Lens // Island Serenity
I finally had the time to do some filming on a recent camping trip to Phillip Island, Australia. I wanted to travel light, so I took my Sigma FP and Contax Zeiss 28-85mm lens with me and I spent a few days wandering around and filming the coastal scenery and wildlife.
I shot everything in .Mov ALL-I Warm Gold because it's my favourite colour profile to use when I'm not shooting in 10 Bit Cinema DNG. It's an easy format to work with and I only had to do a basic exposure adjustment and colour grade in Davinci Resolve 18.
I've always loved the warm undertones that Contax Zeiss lenses produce, the organic film-like look you can achieve in-camera is very unique and can't easily be reproduced by any other lens, filter or LUT. These are lenses I'll continue to film with for many years to come because they have so much character and life!
