Here is a traditional sorrel drink we get for Christmas time in Trinidad. These are the exact measurements I used for my perfect drink, you can tweek this recipe to your taste preference.
8 -12 cups water or more - less water stronger it will be
2 lbs sorrel flowers - without the seeds
peel of orange
8 cloves
2 pcs cinnamon
1/2'" piece of ginger- whole/ grated/ sliced
4 cups sugar or to your liking
1/2 cup spiced rum - optional
