In this episode of unity open world tutorial series, I am going to find a way to play a custom animation clip without specifying it in the animator controller. The reason to implement this system is, I'm gonna have to play a lot of different animations in future in this project for stuff like interactions. But I f i create separate states for then, the animator controller would become a mess and will be harder to work with. So, I am going to use animation override controller and implement a way to play an animation through the script without placing the animation in animator controller. This would be somewhat similar to playing slot animations and animation montages in unreal engine.
