Enchanting White-naped Crane Calls in South Korea
The White-naped Crane call is one of the most atmospheric sounds when I am leading birding tours in South Korea. At several places we are treated to close up views of trumpeting flocks of these elegant cranes such as this group at Junam Reservoir. Standing in the fields, next to the reservoir, with White-naped Cranes, antigone vipio, feeding all around and in flight overhead is one of my favourite experiences in birding in Asia. A really special atmosphere and birding moment. In this video you can watch the flocks and listen to the constant trumpeting of the White-naped Crane call.
