Orange-bellied Leafbird call is almost entirely made up of mimicry of other bird species. Orange-bellied Leafbird, Chloropsis hardwickii, is a fairly common bird of high altitude forest in many parts of Asia and is easily located by its noisy nature, constantly chattering and singing away, mixing its own calls with the birdsong of other bird species that it has learned. In this video clip a male Orange-bellied Leafbird, at Doi Inthanon in Thailand, sings in between feeding on fruit, even continuing the song as it eats at times.
