An Introduction from Joe at Zurich Airport
As we tried to catch up on sleep our first day in Zurich, we did head out to visit both the shops in the Airport and then the Old Town part of the city near the lake. Zurich is an expensive place to visit and we have already spent a lot of money on food, but you can also eat inexpensively at less formal locations.
Switzerland is also an easy place for English-Speakers to visit. While the primary languages here are (in order) German, French, Italian and Romansh, pretty much anyone in a service job or tourist location speaks pretty good English.
This is just a short introduction and some initial impressions - I'll be back to you at the end of the week as we head out into the mountains Monday afternoon.
