📝 Formatting Cells as Text: Discover how to format cells to ensure numbers are stored as text.
📊 Using the TEXT Function: Master the TEXT function to convert numbers to text with a specified format.

Methods to Display Numbers as Text in Excel:

Apostrophe for Text Display:

Select the cell where you want to enter the number, such as cell A1.
Type an apostrophe before the number you wish to enter, like '1235', and press Enter.
Notice the caution error in the top-left corner of the cell indicating "Number Stored as Text" and the left alignment of the number.
Formatting Cells as Text:

Enter a number, like '54432', in cell B1.
Right-click the cell, select 'Format Cells', and choose 'Text'. Click OK to apply the format.
You can format multiple cells as text at once. Select the range B2 to B5, format them as text, and then enter your numbers.
Using the TEXT Function:

Enter a number, like '123.45', in cell C1.
In another cell, use the TEXT function to format the number as text. Enter =TEXT(C1, "0.00").
Customize the number of decimal places as needed. For leading zeros, use =TEXT(C1, "0000.00").
Adjust the formula to display two leading zeros if necessary, for example, =TEXT(C1, "00000.00").
Summary:
We covered three effective methods for displaying numbers as text in Excel: using an apostrophe, text formatting, and the TEXT function. Implement these techniques to manage and display your numeric data as text effectively.
