How to Colour Correct Skin Tones // Davinci Resolve Tutorial
In this Davinci Resolve tutorial, I'll be taking you through how to colour correct skin tones with some very useful tools in Davinci Resolve.
I'll begin with a basic exposure adjustment and colour correction of white balance within the scene. Then I'll move onto showing you how to use Window Masks to isolate skin tone colour, together with Vector scopes to adjust skin tone colour balance. I'll be showing you how to setup your Vector scopes properly to accurately read skin tone colour, using both the skin tone indicator and 2 x zoom options.
These are all simple techniques but they are extremely useful, especially for situations where you can't always get your colour temperature exactly right in-camera. Or times when you just want to check whether your skin tones are accurate, this will allow you to remove any colour casts or colour shifts from the skin tones.
