Starting off with the first trick. It is how you can access the torch from the lock screen itself. All you have to do is swipe right and click on the torch icon at the bottom.
I have always hated this layout because managing the app from one page to another is a task but this time around there's this awesome feature where you tap and hold the icon and then select other icons you wanna move and then drag them to the bottom screen where you see all the pages and drop. Even though the screen is already massive you can push it further by removing the navigation bar just like on OnePlus 5T. To do that you can go to settings-additional settings-buttons and gestures-hide software keys. It'll hide out when you are not using them and you bring them up by swiping up on the screen from the bottom.
Now if you are really facing issues with notifications and accessible g the corners of the phone even after all the tricks mentioned above. You can go ahead and turn on the one hand mode which is the solution to all the problems you'll face due to the huge screen. Like if you are a videographer you might use the camera mostly just for the video option and you can set the camera to open video mode directly by going to settings and scrolling down to this.
