A simple T-shirt can easily be transformed into a completely different item. You can make a skirt, T-shirt or blouse out of it. To do this, you need to cut it, remove something, and add something. Sometimes you can draw a design on it with special markers or fabric paints, and the thing will change dramatically. A fairly easy modification, but the result is excellent.
See how you can turn a sports T-shirt into a classic women's blouse. To do this, you will need a size that fits your figure.
Master Class:
1) First you need to shorten it. In my case, I marked 50 cm from the neckline point and cut off the excess fabric. This part will be used to change the style. Sections of such knitwear do not fray, so you can leave them without additional processing. This is the case if there is no overlocker, but it can be replaced with a zigzag stitch. Next, I cut the T-shirt in the middle, and the appearance immediately changed.
2) From the cut-off part I cut out a strip 10 cm wide. It will be used instead of an elastic band; the length should be slightly less than the width of the T-shirt.
3) I folded the fabric in half lengthwise and attached it to the bottom of the T-shirt, stretching it a little. This is the result.
4) I laid a stitch on the front side.
5) From the remaining fabric I cut out strips for the strap. I attached them to a T-shirt.
6) To make the edges look neat, I folded the edges of the plank inward.
7) You can use a zipper for fastening. In my case these will be buttons.
8) The loops were broken on one side.
In principle, everything is ready. A little imagination and instead of a sports T-shirt you have a nice blouse.
But if you wish, you can attach appliqués, sew on beads or other decorative elements.
If you're sewing for the first time, practice on a cheap or old T-shirt, that way if something goes wrong you won't have to regret ruining it.
