Models with beautiful sleeves always attract attention. Sometimes it is the sleeve that becomes the highlight of a dress or blouse.
To change a sleeve you need to model it. That is, cut the main pattern in the right places, move it apart, add or remove excess.
At the same time, when all these changes are combined, you will end up with the same sleeve, but in a modified form, where folds, draperies can be added, or new elements can appear.
Check out one such option.
Take the sleeve pattern and fold it in the middle. From the top point towards the back along the edge we mark 6 cm.
Down the fold we mark 8 cm. And from the bottom in front of the sleeve from the edge we mark 6 cm.
We connect all these points with a smooth line.
On the front of the sleeve between points 8 and 6, cut out the resulting triangle with an allowance of 0.7 cm.
We fold the sleeve again, with a triangle cut out at the top, attach a sheet of paper and draw a spiral, approximately 20 cm wide and the height of the sleeve, as in the photo.
We cut out the details on the fabric in double size. For the spiral we provide allowances on all sides.
We attach the spiral to the sleeve with the right sides, stitch the junction. We make the second part of the sleeve in the same way in a mirror order.
We fold both parts of the sleeve with the right sides and sew with a single line, starting from the bottom, stitch down the spiral on all sides and continue to the side seam. We make notches in all corners.
Turn it inside out.
The result is open side seams and a casing.
We manually assemble the inner parts of the spiral into small folds, it twists and turns into a flower. Sew a bead inside.
The sleeve regained its shape, but a decorative element was added.
We assemble the side new and assemble the edge.
Such a sleeve will definitely attract attention, emphasize the beauty of the hand, and the image will instantly become gentle and romantic.
