Your Website is Ridiculously Important
I recorded this video yesterday, and it was particularly difficult to record. While you can't see it, I had a nasty little dog at my feet, some magpies that didn't like my presence, and I was startled by a Brown Snake.
I tend to rant a little bit, but the purpose is to reinforce the value of an effective website presence. The video was created during a day full of auctions, opens, and displays, and it was a particularly productive day with one partner returned and around 6m in expected volume.
I have a lot of people ask my what our framework looks like (it can look however you want), but I'm never asked what our website framework will do, how it'll support leadgen, or if it'll support a partner network, and the outcome of a website, or the primary conversion-focused function, is ridiculously important in order for the tool to perform the function it's actually expected to perform. We have to understand that a website is the a sounding board for all your marketing efforts, and introducing partner programs or FB advertising - just for a start - is pointless if your digital architecture doesn't support all our efforts. Our website is designed to support whatever program you might choose to introduce to your operation.
A website manufactured without consideration to big-picture marketing plans returns no results - it's as simple as that.
A lot of marketing types talk about a website that converts, and I'm pretty sure they have no idea what they're talking about.
