Retreating Germans Caught at Rouen by the Allied Air Force
German troops retreating from the fighting in Normandy were bottlenecked at the River Seine at Rouen. The Allied 2nd Tactical Air Force caught up to them and caused destruction similar to that of the Falaise Pocket.
