Are Some Cultures Inferior?
Asmongold got in trouble for describing Muslim Culture as inferior - but he brings up a point that we need to talk about.
The culture of the West is diametrically opposed to religious fundamentalism. And the end result of religious fundamentalism is not something we want in our society.
Lots of people who come from outside the United States will agree: They don't want the problems from their old home countries to become problems in the United States. Lots of people come from more authoritarian, theocratic places to live in America as moderates.
We can't lose our moderate way of life by being so tolerant of everything that we stop believing that there is such a thing as evil in the world.
While we debate whether a man should be in a woman's sport or restroom, there's real risks to freedom around the world - like places where you can't go if you aren't part of a specific religion, or places where women don't have rights at all.
I hate Woke propaganda. But one reason I despise it is because it doesn't serve the interests of anyone - including the minorities who push for it. "Queers for Palestine" is a great example of how out of touch some people have gotten. Wanting peace shouldn't mean that we won't fight for freedom.
I don't want LGBTQIA+ jammed into my favorite games. But I do want to live in a free society where people can live their lives - weird or otherwise - without fear. And that's why we must embrace patriotism, and accept that we do have a culture worth defending in the West.
