Advanced File Locking & Team Collaboration Solution for Adobe applications (Photoshop, AI, Acrobat)
In this video, we will show you an advanced file locking and team collaboration solution. It even works for Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and more. Adobe Applications usually don't lock files. Thus, multiple people may edit the same file at the same time, causing conflict of changes or file overwriting.
For example:
A photoshop PSD file is stored on a regular file server (or a regular cloud storage service). On PC1, User1 opens the PSD file in the shared network folder. The file is not locked.
On PC2, User2 can open the same network file without knowing that User1 has already opened it.
User1 and User2 can edit the file at the same time. User1 saves his changes, User2 is not notified!
The problem is: When User2 tries to save his changes, it will report that the file had been changed. User2 can overwrite User1's changes, or save to a new file.
