The Will Calhoun 10" Alien Disc has been floating around my Premier Signia kit since acquiring it earlier the year. Almost by accident I found it sounded interesting when placed upside-down on the 18" Pearl floor tom (which is sitting on the end of my early 90s Premier Signia kit, trying to blend in).
Miked with two older Tascam field recorders, and a very basic condenser mic plugged into the Nikon D600 DSLR.
The other cymbals you can see are:
A. Zildjian 22" crash/ride 1960s-70s (not played)
A. Z. 16" crash, 1970s (not played)
15" 1960s A. Z. hi-hat with rivets installed with cut-down vintage 602 under it (played by Pearl remote pedal)
A. Zildjian Raw Crash - a recent purchase
12" Japanese brass cymbal, very cheap, tarnished and dented
Sabian 20" AA China (almost out of shot)
1980s AR turntable (not played).
